The traditional nomadic culture of Jeju, using horses and cows as the most widely used labor, warding off evil and holding a wish ceremony on the day of the first full moon of the lunar year have been modernized with the Jeju Fire Festival through an artistic sense. The Jeju Fire Festival has been held every year since 1997.
